Symonds- India overreacted to twenty20 win
http://http://content-aus.cricinfo.com/indvaus/content/current/story/312827.html
Idiot. For a start, he's been known to go over the top in his celebrations on several occasions even if Australia hasnt won a cricket match. Maybe Australia are more "humble" (And ffs that is more than a bit rich, him saying that) because they've won quite a lot in the last 12 years, whereas India havent won a world title since 1983.

Re: Symonds- India overreacted to twenty20 win
Here is the complete story,
Symonds sparked by Indian celebrations
Andrew Symonds says India were carried away with their ICC World Twenty20 celebrations and that has spurred Australia on for the seven-match ODI series that starts in Bangalore on Saturday. Symonds said his team-mates were keen to reassert their power in the 50-over format.
When the Indian players arrived home earlier this week they were taken on a near five-hour ride on an open-top double-decker bus from the airport to Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium, with fans lining the roadsides along the 20-kilometre route. At the official ceremony at Wankhede Stadium each player was awarded a cheque for US$200,000.
"Something has been sparked inside of me, watching them carry on over the last few days," Symonds told AAP. "We have had a very successful side and I think watching how we celebrate and how they celebrate, I think we have been pretty humble in the way we have gone about it.
"And personally, I think they have got far too carried away with their celebrations. It has definitely sparked passion inside of us. It has certainly spiced it up as well."
Australia had a lacklustre time at the World Twenty20, losing their opening match to Zimbabwe and suffering a 15-run defeat at the hands of India in a semi-final. The loss ended Australia's hopes of owning the World Cup, Champions Trophy and World Twenty20 titles simultaneously and they sat back and watched as India went on to beat Pakistan in the final.
"Something gets triggered inside of you, something is burning inside of you - it is your will for success or your animal instinct that wants to bring another team down," Symonds said. "We have been at the top for so long, it is like someone has taken the favourite thing you own from you and you want it back."

Pretty strange remarks by Symonds.
I bet he must've objected to the way Eng celebrated its Ashes win against Aussies in '05.

Aussie players shooting their mouths off before a series. Can't say I'm too surprised...

Does that give them the licence to attack others how not to celebrate a success?

Re: Symonds- India overreacted to twenty20 win
reminds me Clubber Lang, his attitude, trash talk, the killing exercises preparing to take on Rocky balboa in Rocky-III
meantime Balboa has abandoned traditional methods and gone back to
the ghetto 'jungle gym' .....
Sree == 'Eye of the Tiger'
1st round is crucial...they are going to come out flooring the throttle.
gotta be clever, dodge their powerful blows and sink the dagger at the
decisive moments...then withdraw and make fun of them

course not. The Indian team should write to their aussie counterparts and ask them how to shove the bloke presenting you with the trophy off the stage. They clearly didn't get it right at the T20 ceremony.

Re: Symonds- India overreacted to twenty20 win
ideally it would end up as Rocky-III with India standing at the end
with Clubber Lang down on the mat. but it could easily be Rocky-IV with carl weathers dead (yikes!) and ivan drago in a punishing mood.
Cricinfo:-
Something gets triggered inside of you, something is burning inside of you - it is your will for success or your animal instinct that wants to bring another team down," Symonds said. "We have been at the top for so long, it is like someone has taken the favourite thing you own from you and you want it back."
---
what they are trying is to rile up the indian batsmen into a rash advance
and continuation of the T20 mode which is not what you want in ODIs.
they riled up Kallis and got him to charge Mcgrath vainly in the WC.
The Trinity had better be going from room to room and speaking firmly
to the hotheads among the 'juniors' not to lose the plot and stick to the
plan. otherwise a score like 6/40 is possible if we charge out recklessly.
I figure SRT and SCG need to open against Aus always, shelters the
young lads and builds some platform if they last 10 overs.
moreover mcgrath and his deceptive bounce and cut aint here no more.
Lee is hittable esp on indian wickets. bracken is not here either with his
odd angle and bounce.
