Anything more defammatory about Australia?

Post by Brass Monkey on Mon 10 Nov 2008, 01:44

Yeah, they're qunts, but all I see is different thread after different thread highlighting a tiny morcel of what people are finding wrong with Aus. Surely they can be bundled into one? We could also get it into perspective: Aus lost to cracking bowling in the only Test they deserved to lose, otherwise it was a boring, needly series in which the curators and BCCI won.

Congrats to India though.

I think rumours of our death are greatly exaggerated.

Lots of defamatory comments for sure.

It's dancing on the grave stuff.

We will pump the kiwis and beat SA.

Normal service will resume once he play on our home pitches.

We've only won once in India since 1969-70.

shrug Yeah, I can understand a bit of glee. But there's context to look at it all through. And it's not being.

You go to thank Ponting for that.

Not everyone views it through your glazed eyes, chippy.
No one was being gleeful nor killing off the Aussie team either.

Stating the obvious under "context to look at it through (huh??)" is all very well ... but the fact remains that Australia were a disjointed side and were poorly led throughout this series, in the face of some aggressive cricket from the Indians.

Congrats to India though.

Agreed there are too many threads, it's called gloating. Not sure that they are actually defamatory though.

Yeah possibly. It just smacks a bit of gibbonesque whooping about a shite series with little intrigue, bar WTF the curators are getting for producing some shithouse pitches which in turn produced some boring, dullard cricket straight out of the 50's.

What is peeing me off is all the selective stats. In the last 10 years and then the last 20 years. The original post was doctored because it showed India's win % this year and it wasn't that impressive.

Yeah, totally. I'd be ecstatic at a series win over Aus however. I expect, again, I'm still more annoyed at the fact I've watched a decent proportion of the series and I've mainly saw some FTBing in a very, very boring fashion. No result pitches were produced. None. Just so happens Aus were desperate in this match and outclassed by the Indian bowlers in the other.

Heh heh!
Can I help the Monkey's grammar?
How else would you read that particular sentence?

Result pitches = None were produced ...
OR
No-result pitches = None were produced?

Phurt, Nagpur was a better pitch than I thought it would be.
