End of an era
and the dawn of a new one. two legends have played their last game, another one will have played his last definitely before the year is out. what will the indian team that plays in pakistan look like?
sehwag
gambhir
vijay
srt
laxman
rohit
dhoni
harbhajan
mishra/sreesanth/munaf
zaheer
ishant
8 players under the age of 30. the nucleus of a potentially very good side. bowling looks good going forward, need to find some middle order legends to complete it

Yeah, that looks like the best combination at the moment to go forward with.
Of course, a player or two of the newer lot may not be able to step up or someone else from the out might get a look in.

Re: End of an era
Does VVS have that much longer left now that he won't be playing Australia for a few years?

Rohit, Pujara and Vijay should be given a bit more exposure ASAP. Don't know if England are playing a First Class warm up match before the tests, if they are then all three players are a must.

Re: End of an era
Get Laxman at 3 and you've got it. I think Yuvraj could be back into contention for a middle-order berth.
Mishra has looked really good.

Re: End of an era
i'd rather split the young blood at 3 and 6 rather than have them together at 5 and 6. a series against pakistan could use some old heads for steadying the middle order, rather than putting all of them at the top

Very true. Two new guys at the late middle order might not be able to handle it.

NO, FOR CRICKETING APTITUDE. BRADMAN WAS A GREAT AUSTRALIAN PLAYER WHO PLAYED BETWEEN 1928 AND 1948.
