... the way of my people young S...btw you must have been pleased with the Dubbers effort in avoiding the outright?...also you must be pleased with Hughes continued development?

Sorry, missed this question yesty, h.

Re: Spivs avoiding outright...meh, it's still a Shield loss. On Hughes...meh, he don't impress me much.

Is Hughes a "nephew" of yours, horrie? It's the only explanation for your constant bigging him up . . . .

Hughes is actually from the mid-north coast of the state of Spivness (my stomping ground), so you'd reckon I'd be on his badwagon.

Obviously has potential at just 19, but seems a bit of a crab to me.

why not...doesn't strike me as a crab...seems unfailingly positive despite the dolts he has to bat with - eg snail, fleas, hatti

I'll give him some time, h. He has obviously started quite well at FC level.

If he gets a call up in a few years, obviously I'll be whipping the horses in front of the Spiv bandwagon.

Marsh should get a try before he fades into husseyness.

Marsh isn't a test opener.

In fact, I'm not convinced he is a test batsman although I have only ever seen him play JAMODDs and JAMITTs.
