Ganguly is set to be demoted. Pathan too may be demoted. Raina may be promoted.

Just before a major test series.

Sehwag will certainly be promoted. Ishant will be promoted while Agarkar might be dropped altogether.

Don't think they'll demote Yuvraj though. He is the vice captain of the One day side and will remain so, whether we like it or not.

Mishra should get a contract though, even if it is in D category.

Yep, if they can offer Gony a central contract on the basis of his performance in IPL then Mishra has been doing well for last few years.

And whatever VRV has done to deserve a central contract?

Contract is given (D category) the moment someone represents India in any format.

That is how Gony or VRV got the contract. They were not in it originally.

Thanks for sharing that info, Chandan. But didn't Amit Mishra too represent India in ODIs?

Contract is given for playing in those 12 months, if not oriniginally included. The above contract was for the period 1st Oct 2007 to 30 sept 2008. Wonder how can you include someone in it who played for india 5 years back!!
