Hayden has no plan to quit one day cricket

Post by Red on Sat 27 Sep 2008, 15:24

This is despite the selectors looking at the likes of Shaun Marsh.

Tap, tap, tap. Shoulder anyone. Methinks the writings on the wall regardless of current or future form. Nice to see him do the 45+ in all four recognised forms of the game though.

Hey! He was worth the price of admission for the 2001 tour and his cookbooks alone.

I always knew that ego would get in the way of any retirement talk.

Not too many cricketers retire on their own terms nowadays, esp high profile, well paid ones.

McGrath and Warnie then you have to go back to Border (maybe).

Hayden is still quality. If he fails in India, and if I had a hat, I would eat it.

There is nothing to be gained for anyone by Hayden playing JAMODIs.

Well apart from him and a cool x amount of dollars. I'd bow out of JAMODIS and spend time with the kids but maybe he's got a big mortgage.

Maybe he was good buddies with Billy McSofty and got burnt when his castle came tumbling down. Very Happy

Shocked

Yoiks, I was joshin'. I hope that's not the case. Maybe he did diversify some of his cash into McSofty's investments.

I can't find any google links to McDermott managing Dos but I did find this:

McSofty tries to sell his mansion

It's dated back in May 08.

"EMBATTLED former cricket star Craig McDermott has put his luxury Gold Coast mansion on the market amid continuing financial strife.

McDermott, at the centre of a $24.5 million corporate collapse, is seeking more than $10 million for the waterfront Runaway Bay home, which boasts five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a 10-car garage, home theatre, billiard room and wine cellar."

I wonder if he got a buyer? 10 car garage FFS.
