At long last - Website from BCCI......
BCCI launches official website
After a long delay, the Cricket Board finally launched its official website today following the conclusion of its 79th AGM at which Shashank Manohar took over as its President from Sharad Pawar.
The BCCI website, www. bcci.tv, will offer millions of Indian Cricket fans across the world deferred streaming video and mobile content apart from 'live' scoreboard of matches, player interviews, profiles, statistics and fan interaction.
The website is being produced and maintained by Global Cricket Ventures, which also manages the official IPL site www.iplt20.com, as per a ten-year agreement it has signed with the BCCI. Pawar said that it will help in bringing Indian cricket fans closer to the game.
"I'm happy that this alliance between Global Cricket Ventures and the BCCI will further significantly enrich the user experience for the Indian cricket fans around the world with a direct window to the on-field action through next generation technologies", he said.

Well, it isn't a gruesome mess. I guess.
They've got some level of personalization on the home page, their content categorization on ok, you can see efforts to syndicate content (RSS mostly). They have scrolling menus, which is good.
But, except for comments on stories, as of yet they've got no audience participation tools out there - polls, user ratings, forums etc. They don't yet have search.
Picture quality is bad. And f*ck me if they haven't got a 50 minute video on the home page! Although being cricket some fans might watch all of it, so its all good I suppose.
The 'original' content from BCCI sucks hard. Look at the opening of this story:
Greatness comes in a myriad of shapes and guises. Only time will tell whether it eludes Yuvraj Singh in terms of aggregate records and heady averages, but when it comes to improving the potency of this intoxicating drug we call cricket, in sending crowds home drunk on runs and dizzy with joy, his particular brand of greatness, as a creator of great, imperishable innings, as a perpetrator of great, deathless moments, seems indisputable.
They should shoot the swine who wrote this.

Get on the case, Nath. Would PMSL if I checked out the web page and it had pop-ups saying "Ban India".
