He has a better technique than Symonds and a better first class average with both bat and ball. If he stays fit and gets as much luck with the umpires as Symonds, he should do well.

I sense a flaw in your plan.

Actually I think Red must be right this time. Didn't Watson go through the entire IPL without breaking down? Even if he doesn't bowl, batting will be much easy for him and he'll do well there, if picked.

But can anyone tell me a bit more about Krejza? How does he bowl? Does he resemble anyone?

You are aware that T20s go for a few overs whereas Tests go for 5 days aren't you?

Yes. I'm aware of that. And that is why I said that bowling might be his problem and hence if he doesn't bowl, he might go through the entire tour without breaking down and batting well.

But Watson is a rubbish batsman. His only useful skill is his all-round "ability" (and I use the term loosely). Take away his bowling and you have...well...a hack middle order batsman. They may as well have taken Cossie instead.

Nothing to worry about, dori. He's barely a FC cricketer. I doubt he's suddenly gonna rise to Test status and give India any dramas.

Scarily, it looks like he is about to rise to Test cricket status and join the likes of Robertson and Hauritz in the "Cheapest Baggy Green" club.

If Watson doesn't bowl then he is behind even TAYPODGE, let alone Katich and D Hussey, as a batsman.
