Its fairly pointless having all that money and not chucking some in at grass roots to keep the money coming?!
Holcs,
I can assure that there is no solid plan for the grassroot level development and most of the things are left to each respective state associations, the administration of which is mostly corrupt and they don't even show where the money was spent or/and what developments have there been in a year or so.

Well then in that case Chandan I can only comment with one line:
Ban India!
In all seriousness, thats fairly shocking if that is the case. All that money and no development = Indian cricket up shoite creek on the international stage, due to the investment in development elsewhere.
I suppose they will just try to live on the IPL in India - where for every 6 weeks of the year they buy in the quality Internationals?

I don't think banning will solve the problem. Indian players have not done anything and I just don't know how banning them from international will solve the problem!
And you yourself want to see a strong India, isn't it? So how will you see it ? By banning it?

Ban India was a joke - see the JKL thread you started.
So there is development at grass roots level, its just it is not organised or even obvious most of the time?

That is it. Or that is what most of the journalists who've done the research say. We can't know that for fact since BCCI doesn't even have a website. And if BCCI doesn't have it, you can simply forget about the 27 state associations which choose the administration of BCCI.

Can BCCI spend some of that surplus on a website where fans can get these informations?

I doubt it Chandan.
From the sounds of it that would be too transparent!
All sounds very fishy at worst, and horribly disorganised at best.
