Dravid looking very scratchy. With this attitude he'll be a sitting duck against Aussies.

Dravid's been looking scratchy for 2 years now. I'm not really sure what good he can bring to the Indian team when he makes batting look like pure torture.

His 60-odd in his last innings against SL saved him the ignominy of being dropped, I guess.

So Ganguly is out, Dravid is still scratchy, Tendulakar cannot even get on the park and Laxman is so so both fitness and form wise. Yet the chief selector confidently claims that the SL Middle order batting debacle was a one off !!

My Indian top six (Injuries permiting) would be-

Gambhir
Sehwag
Laxman
Tendulkar
Badrinath
Kaif

Badrinath and Kaif at least add some 'pep'.

Despite all the self claims by Tendulakr and other noises coming out to me he is out. May allow either Chopra or Jaffer to get iback nto the team.

Jaffer might be ok on Indian wickets. Chopra is the type of player the Aussies love to bowl to. He'll make 10 off 60 balls before getting out. I haven't given up on Yuvraj. Coming in at six on Indian wickets, he could be a real threat if he gets a start. Rohit and Raina aren't ready, imo. Another option is Shikar Dhawan. He's looked very classy and composed whenever i've seen him.

If the Indian selectors were really serious about building for the future they should look at guys like Robit, Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dawan and even Yusuf Pathan as potentials for the Middle order.

You still think Yuvi has it !!. To add to his technical limitations his fitness has really gone down hill in the last three years and he is bordering on overweight these days.

Don't want Kaif and Jaffar near Indian team.

Yuvraj really needs to get his act together to be back in test side.

Can't agree more.

And worryingly for India Dravid looks to be in same mindset.

On to the match, Dravid has almost doubled his S/r while Jaffer went for exactly 50.

Was unfortunate. That Ishant delivery was sliding down leg.
