Leaked news - Symonds being sent home from Darwin
Haven't heard any more than this at the moment, but apparently it's a decision taken after a recommendation by the playing group.
There'll be a press conference after the game, but nothing to be said until then.
As they say in the classics, stay tuned.

Dunno, can't get any more word on it at the moment JKL, it's not even 8.30am in Darwin at the moment.
Given the early hour of a Saturday that the word has started filtering out, I'd say so.

Well, as a friend of mine from the NT said; you've gotta be strong when you go there, because if you're not, you become an alcoholic like the rest of them.

Given that the AIS boys managed a 9-wicket win over the Deshis, I don;t think it'll be too much of a problem if they need to call someone up from that group in a hurry.

This is all just a plan to rid your team of poms. Admit it.

Yup.
Replacement player: Probably Hodge. Maybe Ronchi or Voges.

Hodge? A player more and more deserving of the FFS sobriquet than any Lewis, ever.
Gotta go, but before I do, let me put on the record that if this is to do with behaviour, then Symonds is a modding goose.

Hodge rules. And he is probably the choice of the selectors.

For this game I would leave out Geeves. But I think the selectors will leave out Whitey

No, they left out Watson. Which makes no sense unless he is injured.

The development is worryingly familiar for Symonds, who in 2005 was told not to play Bangladesh in Cardiff after turning up to the ground under the influence of alcohol
What can I say, Cardiff is an awesome night out!
