Re: M Yousuf out of the Champions Trophy
Don't remember any other Pak cricketer missing out on playing for his country due to religious reasons.
Saeed Anwar seemed to be as much as devout muslim as probably Yousuf is but I don't remember him ever missing a match due to his religious sentiments.

FFS, aren't the games all day-nighters anyway? It's not like he'd have to fast for entire matches, and if Pakistan batted first, he mightn't set foot on the field until after dark.

Just last year Afridi skipped the series against SA due to Ramdan.

Its hard because you aren't allowed to eat or drink plus you have to pray at night plus Yousuf doesn't know in the morning if PAK are going to bat or field first.
I once played a 20 over game while fasting and will never do it again!

There you are. Not a big deal then. Had he missed an ODI series due to Ramadan then it'd have made news.

Not sure.
I know S Butt was fasting when he made that 100 at Kolkata but during last year's test series vs SA i saw quite of few of them having water during the drinks break.

I thought it was OK for the fast to be broken and deferred to a later date along with some extra deeds. Is that correct ?
