, England will reprise their 2005-06 experience with trips to venues such as Jamshedpur and Guwahati in the far east of the country

Eng are not the first team to play ODIs in cities like Jamshedpur and Guwahati. Even Aussies have played at some of nondescript venues like Indore and Vishakhapatnam without any complaints.

And ECB got to understand that cricket venues in India are alloted by rotation policy. Its not that Eden Gardens or MAC will get to host every other test.

Is this the same India who sooked about the size of the hotel rooms last time they toured England?

Just imagining the sooking if the ECB gave India Cardiff instead of Lords or the ACB Darwin instead of the MCG.

India played an ODI at Chester Le Street in '02 without any sooking. Don't think it was anywhere close to being the premier Eng grounds.

ACB Darwin instead of the MCG.

Well, certainly loss would entirely be CA's and not India's.

From the report on the radio I just heard it is more the test grounds that are the problem.

Lat's face it, who cares where Jamodi's are played.

Yep.

Eng has played a test in Ahmedabad in '01 without any protest. As for Mumbai its India's one of 4 metro cities and India's economic capital. Don't think any team would show any reservations to play in Mumbai bar probably Pak, but that would be understandable.

If the ECB are that pissed about it all they have to do is dump India at Chester Le Street, The Rose Bowl and Cardiff.

Otherwise they should probably just...
