MCC opposed to reversal of Test result.
Let's see how long before one of our Asian users takes a shot at the MCC for this.
Especially because the MCC is going to lobby for a reversal of the reversal.
And the game takes another step to self-destruction.

Maybe not on this board but I can see it on other well known boards....
'What do the MCC think they do, make up the rules or something!?'

Re: MCC opposed to reversal of Test result.
Okay - so taking this farce stage by stage ...
**The MCC devised the original Laws of the Game.
** Subject to various and several reccommendations, said Laws have been tweaked in order to keep them abreast with the modern game ...
PS., the MCC still retaining their custodian role.
** The ICC then sit in judgement (in accordance with said Laws of which the MCC, remember, are the custodians) and then contravene said Laws by declaring the forfeited game a draw, thus fully appeasing a particular Asian Board?
Does this therefore mean that ..
ICC = Jumped up friggin' upstarts with an Asian agenda.
Who'da thought it, hey!
Damn straight MCC should oppose this bloody farce.

Could the MCC not become suspected of partisanship?

Re: MCC opposed to reversal of Test result.
In what way?
MCC are an independent cricket club with no direct affiliation to the England cricket team, nor do they have any involvement in the selection of said England team either.
To be accused of partisanship by the ICC (for ICC read Asian bloc) would be bordering on the insane!
The simple reason MCC would oppose the ICC verdict is because said verdict directly contravened the Laws ...
Now ........... if ICC wanted said Laws re-written to accommodate their myopic bias with the asian bloc, that would be something for the future - and therefore not affecting a game that was decreed forfeit 2 years ago.
Unless of course THAT too was fudged by the ICC !!

So what happens when Dazza gives Inzi 2 minutes to come out of the bathroom ?
... and Inzi refuses?
Would Dazza declare forfeit only to be then labelled a racist by the Aloo?
Grounds for immediate divorce, I'd say!

Re: MCC opposed to reversal of Test result.
So the MCC say its wrong and against the laws of cricket.
The whole ICC appointed cricket commitee stated that it should not be reversed.
A member of the board of the iCC stated under oath that the laws were upheld.
Various QC's have said its i a very dnagerous presedent to set.
ICC decide they should over turn the result!!

FFS, Merls, the BCCI had no role to play in the decision involving a game between Pak and Eng. BCCI may be crap and pathetic and low, but this incident does not involve them. This decision was mutually taken between ICC officials, Pak and Eng board, so carp all ya wanmt about England's role and leave BCCI outta this. The way you people dodge ECB's role in this and keep dragging in BCCI in a mess they are not involved in for once is not acceptable.
