I guess the Sri Lankan Cricket Board is waiting for the cheque from the BCCI to arrive in the mail?

Is that the same BCCI that still hadn't paid all its bills from the 1996 World Cup when the 2007 one was getting underway?
Is Arjuna losing weight now he's in cricket administration?

Re: SL players not paid for several months??
The Lankans are having atiff over non-rpayment of dues. Recently Lankan Board had taken a bank overdraft to meet expenses and are now expecting Rs 10 crores in income after India tours and just paid the over draft back after getting broadcasting advance payment from TV networks.
Another bone of contention is the next years's tour to England which clashes with IPL. Since ICC members have agreed that international fixtures will be more important over national, club level or domestic events, Lankan players will be required to skip IPL and this will impact at least 10 players who will be still short of a million bucks with 50% increased workload once maximum payment with bonuses is given to them. The ICC meeting next will see sparks fly with ECB and BCCI expected to start a new war over IPL.
I wonder how ECB will rein in their own players in a mood to rebel to play IPL next year if they are equired to play Sri Lanka at that time.

Why should BCCI pay them? BCCI can only pay them for visiting on tours not covered by ICC FTP on reciprocal basis.

No I am not MB. But that said the sarcasm about BCCI is reaching intolerable levels. Reading people cribbing or taking pokes at BCCI's money power is getting tedious, borin and also a tad unfair. People either should live with it or do something about it. Surely there is more to forumming than how much loaded and corrupt BCCI is. Yes it is pathetic, but the sarcasm over it is reaching massive sooking levels.

Re: SL players not paid for several months??
The SL vote when the ICC vote to open the IPL window must be worth several million to SL.
Still - it's a sad state of affairs when the players don't get paid by their own board. Rebel tours and early retirements can't be far away. And all the while the ICC is paying that farking corrupt prick in charge of Zimbabwe cricket because they are "full members".
