The ugly truth behind the World's richest cricket body. Can play Crores to players and can't shell out thousands for men working their sweat for making the matches happen.....

They would if they could. You know how long it takes to get judgements in such simple cases and how much the lawyers fleece over that period. People working on daily wages here can't afford lawyers surely? Another drawback of our great democracy. Not enough institutions that can help such people on legal matters.

its not a drawback of democracy, its a drawback of not enough democracy. i agree about the judicial system, but suicide is surely an extremely drastic step for not getting paid. millions of people dont get their wages on time due to different reasons, hardly anyone kills themselves because of it

One of the best features stories I have read in Indian journalism was called 'Remains of The Day' (after the novel); of a man who had to fight a court case for 25 odd years because he was accused of stealing a light bulb.
