Dhoni has been India's most reliable ODI/T20 middle order batsman in the last year. Yuvraj is hit and miss, Rohit is still learning, Raina is still to prove himself.....

He's a different player now to when he made his debut 3-4 years ago, where he was almost Afridi like in his strokeplay.

Considering the amount of money T20 is generating, it basically has to be treated as a proper form of cricket. The fact is, throughout the cricketing world, the public like it.

True.

Whether one likes it or not money generated by Twenty20 is huge. And if one has to popularise cricket in rest of the world (as has been envisioned by successive ICC managements) Twenty20 has to be the most preferred form of the game.

PS: I personally dislike Twenty20.

India have shown that they are ready to treat it as a proper form of cricket. They tasted success, and they will want to do so again.

Yep, other boards like ECB and CA aren't thinking in terms of starting their own version of IPL or whatever they call it.

If I'm not wrong Eng, NZ Aus, SA and some other boards had already started their own domestic Twenty20 leagues much before BCCI started its own last year. And that too keeping in mind inaugural Twenty20 WC played in SA.

So it isn't that only BCCI treats Twenty20 as a proper form of the game. Every other board does. And why won't they? Twenty20 generates a lot of money in very short time and who doesn't like money?
