why do the UK broadsheets always invite someone from the touring side, pay them and ghost write a column? Do any other countries do that? I don't think the Aussies of Saffies do it.

It begs the question as to why they can't find a cricketer literate enough to write his own column.

Not that many journos are that literate these days either.

I can't ever recall an Australian paper getting an opisition player put their name to a column

that's right our column inches are always full of more rivetting things like excerpts from the next koala publication.
