Shoaib Akhtar
His 18 month ban has been over turned and will only be fined.
Just thought you might like to know that.
Or maybe not.

Good. It was a ridiculous ban. It's taken the PCB god knows how long to do what they should have done straight away - give him a fine and a telling off.

Re: Shoaib Akhtar
Glad as I am that he's got off, I wonder why they even bother with a ban.

Aye ... seems they like cogitating for lengthy spells - having missed a trick at the Oval 2 years ago in getting the match declared a draw
rather than pussying around insisting that an umpire be declared a racist.

er....why? The world of cricket is better of without him, Pakistan gaining the most benefit from his absence.

I don't know, criticising the PCB (and let's face it, they aren't really doodh ka dhula), doesn't strike me as having grounds for punishment, let alone a 5 year ban.

Re: Shoaib Akhtar
The PCB can now have some real fun, because with B-Grade eligible for selection, they don't actually have to pick him...

Pass. Have to wait for one of the Pakistani experts to tear themselves away from the incredibly important Asia Cup. They might know.
