Moores dribbling more rubbish!!
Moores yet again talking rubbish!!
"There has been criticism that it's too cosy in the England team, but Moores says that if changes need to be made they will be. "To give the selectors their due we have seen consistent selection, but when the time as come for changes we have seen them too, recently in the bowling department," he said. "But there has to be this balance so that players aren't worried if they fail once, but conversely don't feel undroppable. "
Hmmmmmm....
Interesting point Peter Sussex. Dpoesn't failing as a batter for a year constitute enough for players to be dropped?
Qunt!

Re: Moores dribbling more rubbish!!
I swear, EVERYBODY has a blind spot where Ian Bell is concerned. Coach, selectors, media.
From the article: "Ian Bell did just enough in the one-dayers (to keep his Test place)."
How do you work that out? No fifties. Nadda. Zip. Zilch. Not a single meaningful contribution.
Is this like when he was promoted to number three in the Test side after a failing series against India when he batted six and finished bottom of the averages?
And Collingwood's done nothing with the bat in 12 months. Frankly, he looked embarrassing during the NZ series. If he's still in the squad when it's announced on Thursday, it'll be a joke.

Re: Moores dribbling more rubbish!!
I do have a hatred for Bell, and Moores most definately, and it comes from my reasoning below.
Dello, has made any point I would ever hope to make in his one post above.
Its an utter shambles. I want my side to progress, and yet we constantly pick the same shoite that has failed over the last 12 months! Its a Joke!!

I fully expect them to be unchanged, however. They're going for a place in the record books regarding consecutive unchanged XIs.
It's the only legacy Moores is ever going to have...

Your not wrong there.
Its an utter Joke if Wobbles gets picked for this test. In most other sides in the world, someone on a trot as bad as his would have been dropped!
Bell on the other hand flatters to decieve. Looks all pretty, plays lovely strokes, provides absolutley fark all of any importance to the side ever - but hey he looks pretty!

I think everyone likes Bell as he looks like one of those innocent, can't get a GF, Ginger blokes. Maybe the public feel sorry for him and he milks their sympathy.

I think holc is going nuts with rage. Someone should write up a Peter Moores obituary. It's only a matter of time.

Re: Moores dribbling more rubbish!!
Someone's got to go- picking the same team regardless reeks of complacency, laziness and fear. It's a balance between giving people a fair go and demanding a level of performance. The balance is spectacularly tilted toward the former at the moment.
Mind you it's a moot point whether county cricket can produce any talent likely to improve the side. Picking Shah would send out a good message though.

Re: Moores dribbling more rubbish!!
There is an air of complacency in Moores' comments, which I find utterly stupefying. No-one was more loyal to his players than Fletcher, but even he would have lost patience with Bell and Collingwood by now.
They both need to go back to their counties for an extended spell to get used to the feeling again of putting a run of good scores together.

Your not wrong on the first point!!
I understand the need for balance and will never advocate going back to the 90's revolving door policy. But the lack of 100's and the poor stats posted by Bell and Colly in the last year is embarrassing if they are picked again.
More importantly, in the last test innings Collingwood played, the commentators were laughing at him because he was so out of nick in the longer form of the game.
Moores is a spineless qunt! Drop the cosy attitude, get rid of the underperformers, and give others the chance of a run in the side!!!
