In the past month on the C4 cricket forum, you missed...

Post by Zat on Mon Jun 30, 2008 4:46 pm

a whopping 57 posts, 26 (45%) from one poster. Hard to keep up with all that discussion, I hope poor C4 Cricket Ed isn't feeling too stressed.

In case you think it might be overwhelming to read all that, the top 3 posted on topics the in June were:

  • Will India become number one? - 14 posts
  • Are you satisfied with your captain - 13
  • Where are all the England fans? - 9

Other subjects 'discussed' were the IPL, Is Bracken the new McGrath?, Sucking up to the Ed, Has the art of bowling yorkers been lost?, "Boo Casson", End of Kolpaks in sight?, and "Paul Collingwood suspended.Pietersen Captain."

And the games between the sNooZers and England, replete with controversy, drama, rule changes, and excitement managed absolutely no posts at all.

Neither did the Aus tour of WI.

And before the subis get all excited that he IPL out ranked them in June, the IPL thread mentioned above pulled in one post in June.

Don't you miss the old place. Good times.

That's almost as sad as going back and checking what is happening to the old place.

I was originally looking through the old pages for potential glossary terms.

Unfortunately most of the best bits from days gone by have been purged.

Although about pages 50-60 are the Ashes 06-07 threads. Still worth reading.

The saddest part was that the original 'Is Jason Gillespie cheaping the double century' thread is no longer there.

There was a certain character and feeling on C4 that this forum just doesn't quite have.

I'd like to say we'll miss you, but I'd be lying. Piss off and never come back.

You'd occasionally get a crazy new member coming on board (Usually Aussie or Pakistani), abusing everything and everyone, and causing much hilarity. There were several insane Paksters who came on after Ovalgate. It at least felt like C4 was available to everyone who wanted to talk cricket. This forum at times feels like a private club.

I'm not going anywhere. History tells us that you're the one who has a big sook and threatens to never come back......only to return with your tail between your legs 3 months later.
