Tax is an A$$!!

Post by Anniyan on Mon 30 Jun 2008, 01:37

I just received a letter from the inland revenue informing me that I underpaid taxes for the past 2 years thus I owe them £1500 quid! Farking fantastic! I worked hard for the past two years and didn't even take holidays much. Lots of overtime and only had Staurdays off during most of the weeks. You work hard trying to earn that extra bit and the kno0bs want more off you. Now I know why people become work shy and try to sponge off the state!

You should have paid your taxes then.

I am not whining about paying them but they should give a break for people who are happy to work hard and put in some extra effort. An extra effort in the form of long hours or overtime should be rewarded not punished with extra tax.

How much did you get paid for your overtime etc ...a tad more than 1500 pounds? There's your reward ...

What about all the money you owe your employer for the lost productivity while you posted shite on cricket forums?

Sounds like a good topic for a poll, MB. How much of your income is not earned due to skiving on cricket forums? Wonder how many honest answers there'd be. I reckon I'd be in the 10-20% range.

Actually in the past 3 or 4 months, that has been my situation as well. But then again I have idiot teenage daughters who bitch with their mother, so I'm happy to disappear into the den for a few hours of FB forum peace.
