The BCCI has excluded England from the proposed Champions League Twenty20 tournament and instead invited Pakistan to join India, South Africa and Australia for the event, Niranjan Shah, the Indian board secretary, has said.
The tournament involves the domestic Twenty20 finalists from participating countries and will take place over a ten-day period in late September and early October with US$5 million on offer for the winners.
"In the present circumstance, it is not possible to invite teams from England for the Champions League because of their policy of including ICL players. Pakistan has been invited to the tournament and will join India, South Africa and Australia," Shah told Cricinfo.
Teams from England can be considered at a later stage, but only those who don't have players associated with the unauthorised Indian Cricket League, another BCCI official said.

'Could' .... Nath
Aggers interviewed Lalit Modi yesterday - first time i've heard him speak, didn't seem like the big ogre everyone in written press likes to make out tbh.
No mention of this at all and infact seemed quite keen to work everything out.
It actually makes sense though, I said yesterday - why include English teams if you're going to ban all but 3 of them from taking part.
