England v New Zealand, 3rd ODI, Bristol, 21st June

Post by Dello on Fri Jun 20, 2008 8:16 am

Weather forecast not the greatest.

Sidebottom struggling still with a back problem.

Hope they replace him this time with an actual bowler in Tremlett.

Mascarenhas is just a waste of a selection, at least as far as bowling is concerned.

Mascherenhas was a fair call in a shortened game though imo.

Don't think there's any doubt Tremors would have played if it had been a full game...

Really? How many games did Tremlett play in the reverse fixtures in NZ when England were patently a bowler light?

I'll believe it when I see it.

I reckon the Edgbaston game would have shown them they needed another bowler.

Hopefully anyway...

Not that Tremlett is a crash hot ODI player either really

But at least the captain will bowl him ahead of himself.

Aye... you know you're short when Colly is the 3rd bowler chosen

NZ team news is that Gillespie will play not sure instead of who, probably Mason!

I predict three hours of lunch, interspersed with occasional breaks for cricket.

Could play one of them new-fangled e11 matches. The one in the WI was great Rolling Eyes

Shah needs to be bumped up the Order, he's showing much more promise than Bopara and should be given much more exposure rather than being hidden in the lower order.
