AUS's open support of Dubya certainly makes things a bit tricky for the cricketers but generally things are improving in Pakistan and hopefully all the top players would show up.

And how much has Mushy got to do with the present political condition of Pak?

I would think that the Indian players are atleast at equal risk if not more. Some terror outfits have put a bounty on the heads of the Sachin, Sourav etc.

According to Conn in The Aussie, the kiwis are very reluctant as well. It may end up as a tournament between the sub-continent sychophants.

If enough security can be provided for the likes of George W Bush and Gordon Brown to visit Iraq, then surely enough security can be provided for the Australian cricket team to visit Pakistan.

I don't think the US Army will want to act as bodgyguard for a few "Austrian" cricket players.

Good question.

He is certainly not as powerful now (most of his parties lost in the FEB 18th elections) but out of all Pakistani officials Dubya trusts Mushy the most and that counts for a LOT. At the end the day like most terrorists Dubya is a bully and the best way to counter the bullies is to show some guts which is beyond Mush's capability. So as long as we continue to allow Dubya(or Macain) to run our country then we will continue to suffer and PAK would regress FASTER than even our good old US of A.

Time Aussies showed some balls and toured. It's been more than 10 years since they last toured now. An entire generation nearly an era has passed by since they last toured.....
