From some blog: Numnah for those wondering is a sheepskin placed on a horse’s back to prevent chafing. What even made this situation funnier is that when Sameer Mishra of Indiana, the contestant given the word, was asked by the reported what his first reaction was to thinking the word was numnut, he answered: I was sooo relieved when I realized that it was numnah, because numb nut can be spelled in sooo many different ways.

I think I'm more 'megs' than 'nuts'. Though usually the rare 4 times a year I do it, I usually just say 'wanger'.
