This guy is just an unstoppable bullshit machine.

http://www.ecb.co.uk/news/england/npower-tests/england-grow-in-stature,300351,EN.html

“The fact that we’ve won this Test is fantastic; the fact we’ve won three Tests out of the last four is great with a developing team.

“The team has changed a lot and is developing and it’s finding itself."

England top seven, final match of the Ashes 2005:

Trescothick
Strauss
Vaughan
Pietersen
Bell
Flintoff
Collingwood

England top six vs NZ, 2008:

Cook
Strauss
Vaughan
Pietersen
Bell
Collingwood

Yeah, this side has "changed a lot" and is - three years on - still a "developing team". Sounds like a ready-made excuse for failure: "We're still just a developing side."

How many years do you get to trot it out before a developing side becomes a side going nowhere?

Yeah, it's BS isn't it.

I would give him some leeway if he was talking about the bowling attack but this is about our current lack of runs isn't it?

Don't worry, we will most probably say the same thing about the Saffie team when you play against us. Suspect

No.
It's someone who, having been rumbled, feels he has to justify his position by
uttering BullSh!t in order to keep his job a little bit longer.
Even if we get blown away by SA, I'll wager he and more than half this team will still be retained.

Remember the "Brolly Man" of football and his words not so long back ......?
Deja vu or what?

How much of it is England emerging and how much the Kiwis disappearing beneath the waves?

"Peter Moores believes England’s stunning comeback in the second npower Test against New Zealand is a sure sign of a side developing into one capable of challenging the world’s best.

Three times in the last four Tests, the England coach has watched his side emerge victorious from positions where New Zealand were favourites to triumph."

Er . . . the fact we've allowed NZ to get into positions where they were 'favourites to triumph' tells me that he's stumbling along with a side capable of losing to one of the world's worst, not challenge the best.

Cretin.

To be fair, the bottom five has changed several times.

And how has that got anything to do with the continued collective failure of the top six?

England haven't been in the shit of late because of the bowling.

Kevin Pietersens last 15 innings, 31, 18, 1, 45*, 1, 30, 42, 6, 31, 17, 129, 34, 3, 26, 42. ONE fifty in 15 knocks and an average of less than 33, and he's our star player! The others are probably worse, and let's not forget, the last five tests have been against the not so mighty Kiwis.

It looks like the 'bubble' surrounding this England team is even thicker than it was in the Fletcher era. I have images of them patting each other on the back in the dressing room at the end of the match, rejoicing at another scrappy victory over the mighty cricketing force that is New Zealand. Ashley Giles rocks up, well keen for a party, and in the spur of the moment offers Monty some bowling lessons. Monty wets his pants with excitement. Andrew Flintoff is recruited to carry the heavy beer kegs on his back up the 3 flights of concrete stairs that lead to the dressing room. As a gag, Geoff Miller dares him to do it with his shoelaces tied together.

The beers are flowing for everyone except Ian Bell, James Anderson, and Stuart Broad, who are in the corner of the dressing room playing with their army men on the floor. Ottis Gibson comes over and gives them each half a glass of coke as a special treat. Meanwhile on the other side of the dressing room, Peter Moores and Michael Vaughan are caressing each other whilst whispering,"Everything's fine" into each others ear.

The partying ends at 3am when Andy Flower reminds the players that they have an extensive batting session in 4 hours time. Anooyed, the England players ask Flower if they can just get the batting session over and done with now, instead. Flower agrees.
