It's rainy and grey in England and it's supposed to be summer. Makes you want to kill yourself really.

It's hot and humid and exhausting in Mumbai and it's still summer not yet ended. Makes me want to have some of that English rain and grey over here.....

I thought you'd worked your way to the upper eschelons of Indian middle management, Vikas. Surely this is the epitome of the mad hubbub of the Indian middle classes. Boredom, how can this be so?

Well, there's always FlamingBails. But I see you've already played that card.

I am suffering from middle age stagnation and professional suffocation. Well the work I am doing is boring, have been on this project 4 months with 4 more to go and well truth is I want to change my line of work which may take some time. In the meanwhile I am trying to bag some voiceover work in TV stations and sending my CDs across and want to learn Maya animation. Too much freelancing after office hours is also saturating me, but I can't refuse money. I want to take a break but am unable to, to keep food on the table and nothing is happening yet. It's waiting and waiting at the moment for something to give and well.....

I am just plain bored!

Have an affair. Apparently that works according to an Aussie lawyer mate of mine!

Not a full blown mistress. Just a lil fling i'm told!

Get a cricket ball, get down to the nets & practise the art of the leg-spinner. No-one could be bored as they toss up some leggies, toppies & googlies. Maybe even the occasional slider, zooter or guzunder.

..... and if you're feeling a bit hostile, let fly with some bouncers.

When I tried leg-spin in nets for the first time, I hit the ceiling, two fielders and the batsman on his head. One of the funniest days, and all because the coach wanted to make me a leggie because I wasn't good with pace bowling.

funnily enough i started with leg-spinners, they just came out naturally. till the age of 12 i was extremely envious of the guys who mastered the difficult art of off-spin bowling. then in my mid-teens i grew 9 inches in a year and all i wanted to do was bowl like waqar younis. didnt quite work out that way
