Spin bowling is one area we may not be too weak in once Kumble retires.
I disagree. I expect the spin department to suffer from a major reality check when Kumble retires. We really have taken his ability for granted over the years. At any rate, I hope Chawla is given at least four or five major test series to try and learn his trade at international level.

Yeah, slapgate has been a blessing for Chawla. If he bowls half as well as he bowled to SRT in the Mumbai game, he'll be keeping out Bhajji from the team, who is one of the top ODI bowlers in the world.

India's spin stocks are still vastly superior to any other country's.

Sangakkara on finds of the IPL
A bit Punjab heavy, and Watson wasn't really lost, that he had to be found, but all in all I liked it. He writes well. Especially this part on Chawla.
Exactly Kumar.

He has done very well with what he has, and as time goes by he should bowl the legbreak more, turn it big and control the turn. He has a strong future, and I see a lot of good things for him not just in Twenty20 but in one-dayers and Tests too.
Exactly Kumar.

The URL is too long and gets jumbled in this window. Please cut and paste and remove the space in between to access the article on Sehwag and Dravid's opinions on Modi's suggestion.

Scrap tests: have 5 X 4 20/20 games instead.

Shaun Marsh seems to be doing what Dravid wanted to.
Dravid had said he would have cracked T20 if he were 21 right now.
