Re: 100 wickets for Monty
Just seems like it's been going on longer due to the speed England batted...

A potential win 'earned' through being slightly less terrible than New Zealand.
Happy days.

Re: 100 wickets for Monty
i don't think either team has been terrible...it is not as if either team has overrated NSW players in it

Re: 100 wickets for Monty
I remember the Lord's match vs NZzzz in '04 when England were set 280 to win and got it rather easily, for three down I think. Mind you we had Tres and Thorpe then.

Yeah, we did similar at Trent Bridge too. We had a much more consistent batting side too. And the pitch wasn't offering quite as much.
All in all tomorrow doesn't look too promising.

I don't fancy us at all either. Apart from Pietersen doing summat, which seems unlikely at the mo', I see them running through us with their golden-arm bollocks.
Here's hoping we win by five wickets with Collingwood and Bell getting first-ballers while KP racks up a beastly ton.

Amen to that. Vaughan to get a low score too.

Aye - I was there for the chase at Trent Bridge.
It was a particularly flat track, a reaction I suspect to the heavily criticised track in 2003 which was apparently falling apart on the last couple of days, though the accuser was Miserable Smith on the back of a defeat, so take that with a pinch of salt.
The other difference that day was that it was a gloriously hot and sunny day, nigh on perfect batting conditions, and despite Taufel being in trigger finger mode, Thorpe and Gilo eventually saw us home.
Promised to be a great day for English sport that - until some git called Zidane scored twice in injury time to ruin it.

Why do you want people to fail?

It's the English disease.
