Or indeed ... Tuffers!

Didn't Underwood bowl best on green, damp turners ?

I'd lost the faith earlier today.

What an idiot.

He was unplayable on drying pitches - Oval 1968 and Lords 1974 against Pakistan spring to mind, but he managed to take 152 test wickets overseas at a tad over 27, so he was a damn fine allround bowler. Should never have signed for Packer - he was not the same bowler afterwards.

After 28 matches:

Monty 102 wickets at 32
Tuffers 89 wickets at 35

...so Monty is beating him quite easily.

But it still remains to be seen if he'll be outbowled by Vettori in the second digs too...

I really don't know how England have got so bad at playing spin that bloody Drooper can do this to them. Gooch, Gower and Gatting would be smashing him all over.

We're playing him from the crease that's why, as did NZ to Monty.

If we're any chance we'll have to play him more positively tomorrow.

That depends. Is there still a chance to play for a draw?
