Malik's the luckiest of them all what with having been made the cap'n and all.

As for Unlucky players...

Sidebottom is quite unlucky for not being called up sooner than later.

Owais Shah is the unluckiest England prospect ever so it seems.

Martin Bicknell aswell was sort of unlucky. Could have done a better job than Jimmy if he had been given a longer run.

Bhajji would have to be in the Lucky XI purely for his self discipline and discipline for the game.

He was better than the entire England bowling unit in 2004. Mind you he probably is better now than Anderson...

JK, I'm probably better than Jimmy in all respects...and I'm pretty bad. Nothing to do with being Welsh though.

An average of 30 after 26 Test matches without scoring a century ...

Would it be fair to say that in the early part of Waugh's Test career he was a bit like Colly? Gritty batting, useful bowling, good fielder and that's what kept him in the side before he "blossomed"?

Comparing Collingwood to SR Waugh? Bit OTT isn't it?
