9th September 2007
I saw legendary left arm twirler Murali Kartik at Brent Cross. Near the escalators. Outside Barrets shoe shop.
Frankly, I don't see the point of anyone else posting in this section as this is surely the greatest moment in all human history.

Re: 9th September 2007
I once called Mark Waugh "Steve" - twice - and lived to tell the tale. Don't know if I'd have survived had it been the other way round...

Re: 9th September 2007
I saw Ajay Jadeja walking down Khan Market in Delhi once. He had come back from his first international; forget what game but he had flopped.
Pretty girl walks up to him and flutters: "Oh Ajay very well played".
Good times.

Re: 9th September 2007
Guess who used to come into my shop to buy penny sweets...that's right, Rik Waller.
He's too 'big' now so all he doesn't buy any sweets from us anymore. His dad still comes into the shop though.
Not cricket related but still.

Seen loads, including Derek Pringle in, the then, Hilton in Lahore, 1996; Asif Iqbal on South Molton Street, London W1 (I think either '92 or '93); Sarfraz Nawaz on a plane from New Delhi to Lahore and in Selfridges Oxford Street, London, and of course, Imran Khan many times. Happy times!

Re: 9th September 2007
Not that we're playing "who's seen the bigger celebrity" but all of those pale into insignificance next to Murali (7-76 on a completely unhelpful pitch against Australia...) Kartik.

Sorry, Brent Cross? South Molton Street & Selfridges W1, mate, is where any self-respecting cricketing-celeb hangs out!

When I was arranging the interview with the Waughs I was forced to use Merv Hughes as messenger boy. I'm sure no-one can come up with anything more daunting than that.
