September 11th.

Post by Dello on Mon 10 Sep 2007, 11:51

England batsman Marcus Trescothick is vice-president of Bristol City football club.

He was awarded the honourary position as a result of his key role in helping England win the Ashes back in 2005.

"Bristols" are cockney rhyming slang for boobs. Bristol Cities: "titties".

Apologies, know it's not cricket but today in 1895:

1895: The original FA Cup trophy is stolen from a shop window in Birmingham
where it had been on display courtesy of holders Aston Villa.
