This is the final tri-series too. Next season there'll be two five-match series.
Yes. Aus will have bilateral JAMODIs next year onwards. Most of the players are fed up of the current format as is. I think the last time Aus failed to make a finals was in 2001-2002 season when the Kiwis met Saffies in the finals and that was the end of Tugga as a JAMODI player and skip.
Think Saffies have choked most to Aus in these best of 3 finals after taking a lead 1 up [twice].
In 80s there seemed to be 4 or 5 finals. 1981-82 against WI, I think there were 4 finals which Aus lost 3-1. NZ also I think lost 3-1 previous year. I could be wrong.
First time India has got here so lets see if it will be another finals choke. But hopefully this young boys aren't afraid of anything yet and so that part of the Ganguly legacy is well behind us...
Would be fitting to have Aussies losing their last ever triangular final at home and Indians capping the summer off with winning their only shot at it. That would make it two in a row for them I suppose hot after Pommies beating them. I hope Indians win next one as well. Don't want a 2-1 frag with another game added...Though having a tied one with 1-1 final result could be a festive for the bookmakers.
Aus have lost most of their home finals and best of 3,4,5 or whatever numbers to WI in it's peak I think, a good 5 or 6 times I reckon, [quite few without the last possible game playing out]...

The tri-nations series has been on since I was in primary school, and I'm going to miss it.
