There is absolutely nothing wrong with good-natured banter but internet forums should not be used to make libellous or scabrous allegations nor are they the place for retarded verbal bullies like you and your partner-in-crime. Noone is forcing you to participarte in this forum or peruse every thread or read every post but if you do use the forum you should extend a measure of courtesy and respect to your fellow members. If you have any problem with the quantity or quality of posts there is a perfectly reasonable procedure to use rather than setting out deliberately to destroy threads by posting garbage.

If you think you can intimidate me into silence and quiescence just as you have intimidated others then I'm afraid you'd better think again. Caving in to a few thugs and bullies with an exaggerated sense of their moral "superiority" is what happened in Germany in 1933 and we all know where that particular road led. My parents didn't go without bananas and oranges for 6 years just so I should truckle to the likes of you. If you want the forum shut down altogether just carry on behaving in the way you are doing. It's your choice. In the meantime if you cannot post any on-topic material I suggest you and your kamerad leave this thread alone and, preferably, set up your own forum for yourselves and the rest of the herrenvolk.

And what I posted was good natured banter attempting to lighten the mood of the whole Disney Channel affair. I didn't set out to deliberately destroy the thread, you've done a quality job of that yourself. The flare-up is quite frankly one of the biggest over-reactions I've seen on here. I give courtesy when I receive it and received sweet FA from you. You're a myopic little nelly, you haven't a clue what I'm like. You only post here to feed your ego with opinionated diatribes about one thing or another.

Allan D wrote:

No, I don't think that in the slightest. I have intimidated no-one into silence in the slightest. If anything, you're the bully with your 'telling teacher' and if that doesn't work 'telling headmaster' threat. It's pathetic, you must be a jumped up little man if you think you're above being told to pull your head out of your pompous, prissy arse.

Right, one of the most melodramatic things I've ever heard. I won't dignify it with more of a response.

Allan D wrote:

Why, are you the person that runs the place - or are you trying to blackmail me with some 'tell the headmaster' threat and let's say they paid your complaint some heed, who's fault would it be - the person making bully-type threats of C4-style censure to any who stumble across his path or the bloke willing to get off the thread some time ago and carry on as normal. Again, you obviously think a hell of a lot of yourself to think that every one you converse with on here will be 'Yes Allan.... no Allan'.

Allan D wrote:In the meantime if you cannot post any on-topic material I suggest you and your kamerad leave this thread alone and, preferably, set up your own forum for yourselves and the rest of the herrenvolk.

Again, I'll reiterate - because you're obviously so self-absorbed that you cannot read people's posts without anything but your own self-opinionated prejudgement, I'm not in cohorts with anyone and the whole facists reference is, again, so melodramatic that I'll pay it no mind.

Now, I wont particularly be on this thread much, but if you reply in a manner I see fit to reply to, I will.

I couldn't care less what you or your cohort, tac, "see fit" to do but, imo, you both are simply abusive shits who have no interest in either the subject of this thread or the forum generally but just get off by singling out and bullying those you regard as "weird" and "eccentric" until they no longer bother to participate so, Mein Herr, ****** off to Nuremberg and don't bother coming back. wave

OK, be as truculent a little child as you want to be. Bear a grudge like I know you will. It isn't of any consequence to me.

But why you think tac and I are cohorts, why you continue to say we are even though I've denied it a few times(like I would need any reason to lie) is beyond me.

Basically, although others have concurred that you have misconstrued my initial post, you continue to think otherwise.

Someone like that, like you, who obviously values their own opinion too highly to assimilate anything else into their thoughts isn't particularly worth talking to.

Carry on with your knee-jerk facist comments. I know which of us has much of a closer alignment in their rationale.

It doesn't seem to prevent you from doing so, though, Herr Obersturmfuhrer. I thought you said you were going, well goodbye then unless you have any profound thoughts to share on the US Presidential election which I suspect you haven't since reading seems to be such a trial for you so I don't expect you're particularly well-informed about what's happening across the pond. However, as our American friends might say, goodbye and don't let the door hit your arse on the way out! bounce

Lovely, an 'I know you are I said you are' line, a judgement of an intellect you don't know about and a spelling correction - and you're how old. You're right though I should be going, I just didn't know how long the infantile and obtuse quips could continue. Forever seems the answer.

Until we're deleted.

It's a shame everyone can't grow up a bit, but I won't lament the day this place shuts down - it's pretty tedious having to babysit a bunch of social lepers.

Laughing I'm no social leper. So basically, you're at the mercy of anyone who will complain to the service providers when they aren't happy about someone/something?

Who knows how the hosts will react? Perhaps this will be a test case.

It's all gone very NFI with accusations of libel and threats to do whatever it takes to clear names and so on.

Bollocks to this. I hear there's more to life.

Well, sorry to hear that mate, I don't particularly feel in any way responsible however if that's what you were alluding to. I haven't said anything libellous about anyone on this forum and it all kicked off before I'd had chance to say much. If you feel I've said anything libellous on here, tell me in public or in private and I'll make sure I don't say FA like that again - because it's all been unwittingly. I've already said what I think of the matter, selfishness of the highest order.

It's mountains and molehills, Danny.

Doesn't bother me - nor the majority of folks on here - but you can't account for how seriously some people take themselves and their internet personas.

But if I start trying to second guess who may or may not bristle at such and such a post and start deleting everything to be on the safe side, well firstly it'll be more effort than I'm prepared to put in, and secondly it'll make the forum as randomly censored as the one we all left.

We'll survive. Or we won't. But no-one will die. So it doesn't really matter, does it?

No, true. And I do agree, it's probably more hassle than you need now let alone have to be nanny.

Anyway, I'll try and keep the flare-ups to a minimum. I've been a little inflammatory a few times when I could've just bit my lip hands.

One man's inflammatory comment is another man's inconsequential blithering, is another man's comedy gold, is another man's libelous shit-storm.

What can you do?

Re: *The United States Presidential Election - Official Thread*

Post by Allan D on Mon 04 Feb 2008, 11:04

All this began when someone who shall be nameless decided to set himself up as Censor-in-Chief of Morals on this forum and started accusing other forummers of serious criminal offences because something had been been posted he didn't approve of. Thanks to him a perfectly harmless and entertaining thread was removed.

Now there's an objection about posts that are too long-winded from one of his cronies who has hitherto never taken any interest in the subject of this thread which has been filled with many contributions from others that I found (almost) as stimulating to read as Skully's or Wide Wally's posts on stats. Consequently it has now come close to being ruined because of a couple of idiots carrying on a personal vendetta against me. I'm not the one against free speech, I take the position that if it's free I should take as much of it as possible. However there appears to be a few on here who wish to impose their view of what should be posted and how long it should be on everyone else and if they don't comply they are immediately abused and an attempt is made to either browbeat them into submission or silence.

The easiest thing would be for me to just ignore the whole thing, leave the neo-Nazis in control and let them intimidate someone else until there's nobody but them left. Well I don't operate like that. I am not some Asian woman they can make break down in tears. As far as I'm concerned they can go to hell first before I'm shifting. Meantime, let's get back to the subject matter of the thread before the idiots gatecrashed the proceedings.
