As I said before, it was the archetypal inept England performance in both main disciplines with the fielding being quite good. They're a sham. Just like England last year.

Both sides looked pretty scrappy, as Cricinfo says, although 467 runs is not a bad performance by both sides' batters. However Kohli's injury may mean the Bannies' victory is a pyrrhic one if he's crocked for the rest of the competition.

This game summed up all that is tedious about JAMODIs. On a good pitch the Lankan batting was pretty rubbish, scratching up a well-below-par 233. The Indian chase was dominated by the spectre of SRT's long anticipated 100th international 100. Once he inevitably fell without reaching the milestone, other than Coaly, the batting was pedestrian and boring.

Hardly a showcase to ward off death at the hands of the ubiquitous T20 form.
