Nah, i'm pretty sure they both played a couple of Shield games for the Vics back in the early 90s. Could be wrong, though. Underrated bowler, Mullally. Probably should have played more for England between 1996 and 2000.
Was my knowledge lacking, sure you're right. Only int. cricket I saw him play was the 2001 natwest series. Why didn't he get more tests in that period?
Only ones who don't remind me of Caliban, Peter. Mooncalf.

I heard that he was a bit 'awkward' and didn't really fit in, hence he only played one test.

Re: Phil Jaques retires from Australian cricket......
Oh sorry, was talking about Rogers.
As for Al Mullall, he lacked a yard of pace, and there was the obvious awfulness of his batting and fielding. Still he was tall, and could move the ball both ways. Left armer...England didn't exactly have an abundance of them. He often gave the impression that he didn't really give a toss. Which may or may not have been true.......
I often think that if only Goughie and Caddick had worked harder on their batting (and they both clearly had batting talent, and Goughie in particular had the ability to make himself a test match number 8 ) it would have allowed England to play some damn fine bowlers who were often overlooked because they were rabbits with the bat- Mullally, Tufnell, Big Dev etc.....

Podge didn't have an exaggerated opinion of himself. That was the prerogative of his mother.
