He couldn't do any worse than Morgan, and I can imagine Bopara being as rooted to the crease as the others.

You know who's a cracking player of spin? Owais Shah.
It's a shame he's spaffed his England career away in an orgy of dodgy running, hand cramps, crap fielding and promising more than he delivered - these back to back winters on the subcontinent would've been right up his alley.

I used to think Ian Bell was a good player of spin. Running down the pitch and whacking the spinner over mid on second or third (or even first) ball has worked well for him in the past and helped him get his feet moving and his innings going. Why has he abandoned that now?
It seems like England are sh*t scared of running past one and being stumped, probably because it looks worse (in their eyes) than getting out playing back to a doosra, staring in amazement at the pitch, and giving the impression it was unplayable.

Think you've just answered yourself... it's all well and good doing it to Mishra, Harris, Herath etc, especially coming in at 5 or 6 but back against the wall is another story.

playing spin well in the sub-con is quite different to playing it outside the sub-con
just ask ricky ponting. an average of 86 at home vs india and 26 away. against pretty much the same bowlers

It might do Ronnie good to drop him down to 6 again for a bit. The electric musical chair.
Or do England good, if not.

The heat might cure one or two of those.

Thing is, all the batsmen have been so unbelievably gash that he's essentially been coming at number three in terms of the state of the ball / bowlers / score (minus the wickets column). So it'd be better for him to come in above Anderson and Panesar at number 9.

Both totally out of their depth here.
KP's mind is elsewhere ... perhaps on the f**king IPL no doubt .. and Morganna just ain't up to the task.
Fetch in the lkes of Bopara (extra bowler ...ish) and Bedwetter or Carberry perhaps...NEED someone or two to ATTACK the bowling rather than crab around prodding in hope.
What to do with Belf?
Ring his neck and gloat.
How do you ring somebody's gloat??
Comments like that would get tac's goat.
It's all right, I'll go get my coat.

Or at #12.
No, my point is not that this would magically change England's fortunes in Arabia. But aim to give Belf a bit of hurry-up.
I've said already Morgan should go, and Pietersen looks shot. I would rush in Wee Jimmy Taylor of the quick hands and feet at 5. But if Bops gets Buggins' Turn, he'd then be coming in at 4, which is a farce. My point entirely.
I suppose I am saying the England top six have been lamentable for two matches. No easy solution there, however creative, even if it were countenanced by the selectors (which as Monkehh says, it won't).
So the ones who got us into this mess, will just bloody well have to get us out of it. ~~ Well yes, quite. ~~ 3-0 it is then

Give Bell a hurry up? Like he responds so well to hurry ups? Seems to me he's shifted about when in the side all whilst molly-coddling him, then he's dropped, then reinstated, smashes some shitheaps and all the fanboys expunge their semen in unison. But maybe you're right.
Wholesale changes are a bit hysterical and in essence I'd plump only for one: Bopara for Morgan. As said previously, it's no compliment to Bopara... I'd stick a bag of celery hearts in front of Morgan. He's done, IMO. Cheers Eoin, go and ponce in the IPL like you always wanted to do.

What the hell have you turned into? Andrew Flaming Strauss? Geoff Shaggin Miller? Giles Fukcing Clarke?? IT'S OUR BIRTHRIGHT AS ENGLAND SUPPORTERS TO BECOME HYSTERICAL ON A REGULAR BASIS. Whereas YOU! YOU have been on this Forum too long, mate. The spunk has gone out of you entirely. You will be calling for knighthoods all round next. And a golden handshake for E Morgan. FUKCIT - YOU ALREADY HAVE! You need to go into a DARK ROOM AND HAVE A GOOD FUKCING LIE-DOWN M8.
Where is Gus anyway?

Gus is here as an opinion robot and is NOT here for anything resembling socialising.
Don't get me wrong - I'd cull at least four of them (three of which I would have done before this series), but we're on tour and we've also got to be realistic... their past deeds can be called on for months after their success as a reference to their apparent brilliance... Apart from Pietersen, apparently Flower hates him (for the Moores thing) and is ready to can him. Ian Bell, on the other hand, was not really in the side when the 'coup' happened and probably has an abundant f*ck basket.
