Australian JAMODI squad

Post by JGK on Sun 29 Jan 2012, 15:31

Australia's ODI Squad

Michael Clarke (c), Daniel Christian, Xavier Doherty, Peter Forrest, Ryan Harris, David Hussey, Mike Hussey, Brett Lee, Mitchell Marsh, Clint McKay, Ricky Ponting, Mitchell Starc, Matthew Wade, David Warner

Peter Forrest? WTF?

And why bother with Huss and Punter any more.

Or Qunt M'Kay. Useless tit of a bowler.

And I see the Dan Christian bandwagon rolls on, FFS. Rolling Eyes

Invers said that he wants a blend of youth and experience. Pleased to see Haddit and S.Marsh out though.

They've only dropped Marsh so he can get some form in the SS so they can pick him for the Windies.

But seriously, Forrest?

And Dhussey who has failed time and again at international level.

He's scored 500 plus Shield runs this year JGK

Isnt the message the NSP want to send that if you score runs you are a chance of selection ...who knows he might succeed ...or they could play Voges again

Cant see the point of Paris Nicky or Punter ...and Id be saving Rhino's knee for important games

Too early for Mitch Marsh ...but they'll play him and ruin him anyway

But what's he been like in the Ryobi (which is surely the better test). Actually, the BBL would be a better indicator than the SS.

It is only the Bannies, so can field a second XI for the JAMODIs

I'd have Faulkner over McKay but i guess with Christian, two allrounders is a bit of overkill.

6 games, 176 @ 29.33, HS 81. 13th on runs scored in the Ryobi this season.

Ferguson might be a tad unlucky; this is his format.

Anyone else think that Invers looks super serious in those press conferences or haunted or something?

What has Faulkner got to do to get a game? It seems they are picking the ODI squad on the basis of BBL and FC form rather than performances in 50 over cricket, which seems a bit strange.

On tht basis, why isn't McDermott himself in the squad?

Lee has been yesterday's news for a very, very, very long time ...

Well it seems they picked the test side on BBL form with the selection of bog, so only appropriate they continue to select from forms of the game not relevant to the team.
