We baaaack!

Sort of. Laughing

I've read some very positive reports of MTNB including yours, Skully.

Tempted as I am, I'm going to d/l but hold off from watching until I can nab 7.02. Got a big week at work coming up but next weekend my beloveds will be in Sydney for the Granny. When I knock off on Saturday I'll be treating myself to take-away, one or two bourbons and a double episode of SPN. cheers

Good point! There has been some Aussie cricket on too, apparently!

Yes! So Twitter tells me. Laughing

Oh yeah, what a top episode

Spoiler:
Don't reckon Cas is dead at all, reckon it's like the possession that occurs when a demon does it to a human, so really it's a monster spirit possessing an angel who has possessed a human Very Happy. Think there's more than one in there by the seems of it. Think Misha changed to sort of maniacal very well, he's pretty good.

Seems set up for an awesome series. First episodes are usually exciting, but this was possibly left most exciting in all the series (well, I wouldn't like to choose). But I digress... definitely seems good at worst.

Liked the fact that Crowley was in it and I always like a bit of Death, he is excellent.

Top sh!t.

S07E02 - Hello, Cruel World. Pretty good, and setting up some tough fights for the boys.

Spoiler:
Ep starts off where we left off in Ep 1. Cas is possessed by Leviathan and staggers out of the lab and into a local water reservoir, where he dissolves in a whirlpool spreading black ooze through the water. The Leviathan are now in the water supply.

Sammy continues to see visions of Lucifer who insists that Sam’s life is all an illusion created by him. Sam finally tells Dean and Bobby about it, and explains that Luci says that they aren’t real. Sam doesn't know what to think.

People throughout a nearby town consume the water and are possessed by Leviathan and begin feeding on townsfolk.

Edgar (a possessed mechanic) and Annie (a possessed little girl) seem to be the senior Leviathan. A swim team is massacred by a couple of possessed students at a local school. Edgar is not happy and orders Annie to pull the rouge feeding Leviathan into line. She goes to a local hospital and takes over surgeon’s body. A patient (Sheriff Jody Mills) witnesses the possessed "Doctor Sexy" (as Annie calls him) take another patient and cut into her and feed on her liver. She flees and collapses in front of a nurse.

Dean goes to the town and after seeing black “ick” on the walls at the scene of the swim team massacre, confirms that the possessions are related to Cas dissolving in the reservoir.

Sheriff Mills calls Bobby for help from the hospital, begging him not to let the doctor eat her, and Bobby (after realising who it is) races off to help her. He puts her in a taxi to safety.

Edgar brings two possessed students to Sioux Falls General Hospital. The student Leviathan take over the bodies of the head nurse and head administrator.

Luci makes Sam believe that Dean has come to take him on a mission. Luci wants Sam to kill himself. Real Dean tracks Sam via the GPS on his phone. Luci tries to convince Sam that the real Dean is in fact not. Real Dean presses hard on Sam’s injured hand and Luci flickers. Sam realises that Dean is right – this world IS real. He pushes on his own wounded hand until the pain makes Luci disappear.

The boys get a call from Bobby about the doctor Leviathan not being affected by silver buckshot. They race back to Bobby’s but find the house gutted by fire. They can’t find Bobby and are confronted by Edgar. Dean shoots him with a shotgun to no effect. Edgar is p!ssed and bares some very ugly teeth in anger. The boys stop Edgar by dropping a car on him, but not before he breaks Dean’s leg and knocks out Sam with a steel bar.

Sam and Dean are transported to hospital in an ambulance. Luci admits to Sam that he is not real but he is still gonna make Sam’s life hell. Sam then goes into a seizure. The paramedic calls the hospital to warn them of Sam’s problem and Dean realises in dismay that they are headed for the Leviathan-infected Sioux Falls General Hospital.

Back at Bobby’s we see the black ooze that had splattered out of squashed Edgar flow back under the car, and Edgar’s hand moves. Seems these Leviathan are very hard to stop.

Scratch all that. I'll just settle for drinking Boag's, and lots of it.

Oh well golly gosh!

Spoiler:

Blimey, Cas dead, Bobby missing, Sam utterly f*cked and Dean's broken his leg. The leviathan running amok. Set this season up very nicely. They won't even have a 'base' now that Bobby's place has been torched. All their sh!t has gone up in smoke. Mental.

Kudos to the writers for coming up with a workable and interesting season arc after earlier "end of the world apocalyptic" arcs fizzled a bit.

Yeah, in ways it's even more mysterious now. I really like that they're more 'on their own' now. It was starting to grate that they just called Castiel every time they were in trouble. It's good that they know f*ck all about the Leviathan either.

Could someone summarise the premise of this series in a paragraph?

No. Unfortunately I lost the right to summarise TV shows in a game of cards. Plain old Texas hold 'em. Reckon I got sharked as well.

The two sons (Dean and Sam) of a "Hunter" family(The Winchesters), along with their mentor Bobby Singer, fight all manner of demons, monsters and things supernatural in an ongoing battle between the occupiers of Heaven and Hell, after losing their parents at the hands of demons. There is a network of hunters throughout the world that Dean and Sam sometimes interact with. The main "good guy" assistance that the boys need and get in their ongoing battles is from angel Castiel.

A grouse show with plenty of action and gore (if you are into that sort of thing - which I am). Cool
