And Nadal is starting to feel the same way as Fed when he was regularly and repeatedly ruining Federer's life in grand slams.

Re: Australian Open Tennis 2012
Would Federer or Nadal have celebrated in the same way? No. Even though they would have "had every right to", they would have restrained themselves, because they're not complete twats.

Re: Australian Open Tennis 2012
Who gives a sh!t what Federer or Nadal would have done? And what's wrong with what he did? He's not raped a puppy, he's taken his f*cking shirt off.
Besides who made you the arbiter of what is and isn't an acceptable celebration? He'd just played tennis for 6 hours against an all time great and triumphed. That was his spontaneous reaction. When you do something similar, perhaps you can judge.
Like I said, the fact that it's even an issue after that game is...... pathetic.

What is there to "hate" about Djokovic? I mean really hate? Nothing, that's what.
You cant help but have respect for Novak after last night's epic. But you ask what there is to hate about him? Well as many people have alluded to over the years is he is a sometimes a cheat that pushes the boundaries. I mean what was the whole returning Rafa's second serve and then screaming "out" all about? Totally put Rafa off on a crucial point.

No, I hated Joker before the game. His post match celebrations only reinforced it.

Not to mention pleading for divine intervention and making the sign of the cross and kissing the cross in the last game.

At the top of the list is that he's a tennis player. That covers a multitude of sins.

Re: Australian Open Tennis 2012
Come on Zat. 2.2 million Aussies were still up at 1.30am watching the match. Tennis is pretty popular.
You find tennis boring. A lot of people will also say that they prefer to watch paint dry than watch a game of cricket.

And on a cricket forum, I'll bag tennis again and again and again.
And are you sure it was 2.2 million still up at stupid o'clock watching it?

Despite the match, on the Seven Network, ending at 1.37am on Monday 2.415 million Australians stuck it out until the presentation, making it the most-watched television program of the evening.

Re: Australian Open Tennis 2012
Apparently there were that many watching it. Although the figures also say MORE people were watching the interview with Djokovic AFTER the match, that the average peak audience for the match itself. Which means, the ratings are saying something like 100 000 people turned on their teles for the post match interview in the middle of the night. Or switched back to the tennis for the interviews after watching the infomercials and Benny Hinn ministry on other channels while the match was finishing.

Surely that is the highest TV audience recorded at the ungodly hour.

Re: Australian Open Tennis 2012
Maybe, who knows? But the figures sound rubbery. Why would viewer numbers go up by. So much after the match finished?
