He's an axeman with the bat, an unimaginative skipper and sometimes untidy with the gloves.

He's also the highest paid cricketer in the World, and considered the face of 'new India'.

India in crisis.

He has an aggravating poofy voice.

Apart from that he's an uber defensive captain with limited glovemanship.

Defensive captain which is shown up much more in tests. Average keeper. Overrated batsman. Good man management skills though and ability to stay calm in tough situations. In many ways he is another victim of that terrible fraternity BCCI. In his heart I am sure Dhoni knows that the BCCI's obsession for the dollar / rupee is killing the game but like many others he dare not speak given the riches that are rolling in. Ironically the rolling riches and the adoration of the fans towards the Indian Cricket / Cricketers are likelty to take a deep dive southwards in an acute fashion. That said I see that many of the IPL franchises are still not reading that way given the transfer dollars spent for Dinesh Karthik and Kevin Peterson.
