Only wanted to play in Sozzie or Wozzie Land, that said getting over looked by Port must be a morale killer.

Re: AFL 2012
Collingwood and Carlton ...what chance did he have ?
POLICE are investigating whether Carlton star Heath Scotland was involved in a wild bar brawl that left a man unconscious.
A 26-year-old victim suffered a badly bruised head and jaw when he hit his head on the tiles after he was allegedly assaulted at the Mulwala Ski Club just across the border from Yarrawonga.
Police will review CCTV footage, saying they had conflicting stories from the men involved.
The Blues stalwart insists he was only breaking up a fight that involved his brother.
But witnesses have told the Herald Sun that Scotland was involved in the violence.
The victim also claims Scotland, a father of two, was involved in the violence and has demanded an apology.
A nurse who witnessed the fight said she kept the victim's airways open after the man was knocked out.
Carlton Football Club spokesman Ian Coutts said the 223-game veteran told the club he broke up an all-in brawl.
A NSW police spokeswoman said security guards at the Mulwala Ski Club separated two brawling groups at 1.40am Sunday and police were called to the pokies venue.
She said just before police arrived, a second fight broke out.
"A 31-year-old Melbourne man allegedly hit a 26-year-old Melbourne man," the spokeswoman said.
Police said they spoke to Scotland and investigations were continuing.
The victim was taken to Wangaratta Hospital in a serious but stable condition, suffering head injuries.
No charges have been laid.
The victim, who did not want to be identified, admitted to being involved in the original altercation.
The victim said the fight was over and he was talking with mates when he alleges Scotland approached him and threw a single punch.
"I want an apology from him and the club," he said.
The nurse, who was standing next to the victim, said the man lost consciousness for about two minutes.
Collingwood star Chris Dawes was also at the venue on the night but had no involvement in the fights.
Mr Coutts said Scotland told club officials his brother got involved in the first fracas and he jumped in to get him out of trouble.
"He was very apologetic this morning," Mr Coutts said. "His brother was being attacked and he went to his aid."
"His brother was being attacked and he went to his aid.
"Heath has rang us and told us what happened.
"If any of our player lied to us we would be very disappointed."

Carlton took the boy out of Collingwood, but there's no taking the Collingwood out of the boy...

Re: AFL 2012
In fairness he was shot before he got near Collingwood - he's a product of that triumph of town planning out past Deer Park, whose poster tag line was 'come to Melton and cop a beltin'.
And six weeks since the last post on this thread - haven't we all missed the AFL 'news'........

Re: AFL 2012
At last the AFL has got rid of the priority drafts, though AD still doesn't believe in tanking. They will be dolled out under special circumstances at the league's discretion. On a side note, speculation is rife that Michael Hurley will turn orange next year.
And the AFL website was hacking today with obscene headlines directed at AD and Eddie.

Liam Jurrah in police custody in Alice Springs after an incident last night. The off-season has been relatively quiet by AFL standards apropos these sorts of things.

Re: AFL 2012
Word is that Jurrah is being held after a 35 year old man was severely bashed with a 15 year old boy assaulted as well. It's meant to be part of a family feud.

All over this one like the proverbial swarm of blowflies on a fresh turd - after not so much as an 'apparently' out of him/her/it on the Andy Krakouer story....I wonder why that is....

This story was leading the news. Krakouer went home because he had financial problems. His own criminal issues are well documented.
