Congrats to Casey Stoner

Post by skully on Sat 15 Oct 2011, 18:46

On winning the World Moto GP title. Some late drama as the rains came then went, but he killed 'em.

Don't really follow superbikes, but well done all the same. It's always good to win at something, I don't give a sh!t about cycling either but like the fact that we seem to win at it quite often these days.

MotoGP is different to Superbikes. It's a bit like Formula 1 v Indie Car.

Oops, got the wrong one. Don't really like actually watching motor racing of any kind, I just like to follow the results of F1, for some odd reason.

There has been an horrific crash in the Malaysian Moto GP involving Marco Simoncelli in which he lost his helmet. He is being treated at the Medical Centre but it is a huge concern. The race has been cancelled because medical staff are all involved in his treatment.

Sad news.

I'm surprised there aren't more deaths or serious injuries in motor cycle racing. Terribly dangerous to go whizzing around a track on a motorbike at 200mph.

The video clip is nasty. Simoncelli's helmet ended up 30 metres away in front of the bike of the guy that accidentally hit him. Probably killed instantly with a broken neck. No
