I hope Sachin gets a befitting send off and a WC win at last. That the game is in his own hometown and backyard is the icing on the cake. It would be fitting if the Mumbai final saw him hit his 50th hundred and a trophy win too. It looks like too much of a fairy tale to possibly come true. But one can dream on surely. If he achieves it, it certainly looks like curtains on a glorious one day career, which will never be matched again.

that would be tough, even for him, considering he is on 48

if sanga fails then it is all over. He is the most important person in the final.

The best two sides have made it to the final. Neither of them have fluked a win on the way - so bring it on!

I really can't pick a winner. I know India are at home, but if the pitch spins S/L have more options than India, assuming India stick with the same side that won the S/F.

And yet, Sachin at home in what will probably be his last WC game may be an irrestible force.

I would also say b*ll*cks to the naysayers who have constantly decried the WC. This has been one of the better WCs - mainly thanks to England, so I think we can claim to be moral winners

This may well be the first final since 1979 that I don't watch or listen too.

I want both teams to lose. SL because I don't want Chuck to equal the great Hoooogggyyyyyy!!!!!!'s record of most Gilly wins by a spinner and India because Harby is a qunt who does not deserve to be a Gilly winner.

Having said that, if both Harby and Chuck miss out on the final I will be going for SL.

Not a win ...but a no result and a qf choke ended up being good for the Lankans

Despite teams having almost a week between games there was no rain days set aside ...a result in the SL vs Oz game would have meant the winner finished first in the group and the loser fourth if Oz or third if SL

The Yarps qf choke meant the SLs got an easier semi
