Boycs Watch

Post by ever hopeful on Fri 17 Dec 2010, 08:55

Sometimes I find him quite inspiring. Mostly annoying though. Which of these three statements from the great man are still wise ones, d'you think?

1. (If England win the Adelaide test... ) "then you can say goodbye to the Ashes, Ricky, they're gone."

2. (before the Adelaide test) "I wouldn't have picked Finn"

3. (after day 2, Perth test) "I said last night, and again this morning, that 270 would be a score to work with on this pitch."

Also, any more suggestions

Yes, it's a well known fact that Boycott was never out, never played a bad shot and was never on a losing side for either Yorkshire or England.

(although some sources, such as Wisden, may not all agree on all aspects of this)
