FWIW, I think it will slow down the game a bit too much.
Presumably they can use radio technology to avoid all the confusion of cabling out to the middle, but still. ...

Daryl Harper should be wired to the mains - it's not going to improve his decision making (that would involve some knowledge of the game) but it would be in some way be very appropriate.
