From this morning's Fairfax press:

When Michael Clarke appeared for his final press conference as Twenty20 captain before Ricky Ponting arrived for the serious part of the tour, he sat down and declared: ''Ricky can have this back.''

The message was clear.

Clarke was tiring of the off-field commitments tied to the Australian captaincy even before the drama surrounding his fiancee, Lara Bingle, became common knowledge. Clarke had already been in serious talks with Cricket Australia boss ...

One guess was all it took.

Spoiler:Article the quote came from

Now, the big question is, how much Mills and Boon does Red read? As Spanky's number one fan does she need to? Perhaps not, as his columns would contain enough flowery prose for even the most romance-starved bint.

The other question is 'does this forum need to be peppered with Mills and Boon style utterings?'

In this thread we will mark down these entertaining and EXTREMELY frustrating moments.

Some recent examples from SL tour...

- First test at Colombo where they choked needing only 97 to win with 8 wickets in hand

- 2nd test: After being dismissed for mere 90 they got themselves not just back in the game but were well on top in the 2nd innings when they collapsed from 285-1 to 320 all out.
